Converse presents Txabolism

Converse Cons has made Javier Mendizabal an Ambassador. Txabolism – a short film and accompanying print publication – is a collaboration between Javier and his old friend, Fred Mortagne. The name Txabolism comes from Txabolo, Spanish slang for a shack built from junk found in the street and artist Fernando Elvira’s nickname for old his protege, Javier.

Txabolism books are in shops now and feature photography from Fred Mortagne, David Turakiewicz, Julian Furones, Neil Chester, Vincent Coupeau and Vincent Le Nours as well as interviews with Fred and Javier. Ask at your local skate shop.
