What the Sigma

What the Sigma is a scene video from the Philippines by Banchi Jimena, filmed in Manila & all around the country. In Banchi’s words: “The video is a tribute to the local skate culture, showcasing the incredible talent that often flies under the radar… The project features a variety of skaters who bring fresh style, new skate spots, unique tricks, and raw energy to the scene. While their names may not be widely known yet, their contribution to the culture is undeniable. By sharing this video, my goal is to bring these hidden gems to light and help elevate the Filipino skateboarding scene on a global stage.”

We spent some time in & around Cebu with Push Philippines last December and not only is the level of skateboarding there incredible, but the scene is really something special and exists without much in the way of industry support.
